It is a typewriter with dots instead of letters for the typewriter. There is a piece of paper in the typewriter with two lines of texts. The lines of text are literally lines.

Historia del icono Blog

The first blog that anyone ever wrote in is probably that notebook you shared your life with at eight. The diary had the first semblance of a blog; it contained years of well-documented information on what you ate, what you did in school, your recess buddies, how annoying your siblings were, and all those life-changing moments that changed the course of your middle school life.

But the first online blog came in 1994, over at Links.net. It was created by Justin Hall, who was then a college undergrad. He didn’t call it a blog at that time; it was just a personal site of his.

First blog

The term “weblog” (a hybrid of “web” and “log”) was coined in 1997 by Jorn Barger. It meant to denote the activity of “logging the web” while browsing. It wasn’t until two years later when the term was clipped to conceive the word “blog.” At that time, there were 23 blogs on the internet. The number skyrocketed to 50 million by 2006.

As an icon, the blog is well-represented by the very modern typewriter.
